The average driver spends 17 hours a year searching for parking, but if you download the Kerb app, you could take back that time and put it to better use.

Here’s a few ideas for how you could spend those extra hours.

1. Go Overseas

There are few people willing to be cooped up on a plane for so long, but there are many long-haul flights departing and arriving in places all around the world. Here are a few of the longest flights you could catch:

  • Auckland—Dubai: 17 hours, 25 minutes
  • Perth to London: 17 hours
  • Dallas/Fort Worth—Sydney: 16 hours, 55 minutes
  • Johannesburg—Atlanta: 16 hours, 50 minutes
  • San Francisco—Singapore: 16 hours, 30 minutes
  • Abu Dhabi—Los Angeles: 16 hours, 30 minutes

2. Harry Potter Movie Marathon

Factoring out the credits, you could very nearly watch the entirety of the eight Harry Potter films in 17 hours! And with the new Fantastic Beasts movie soon to be released, what better time for this news to come?

3. Road Trip

There are several road trips one could do across the globe with just a 17-hour day. Search for destinations no more than 3 hours away, so you still have a good 9 hours to explore and enjoy the sites, before heading back home and calling it a day.

4. Catch Up on Some Shut-Eye

We know that there are many people out there that could use the extra sleep. A 17-hour nap may be overkill, but a few extra hours every night could make a huge difference. And we’re sure you’ll sleep more soundly knowing your parking is sorted.

5. Pick Up a Hobby

An extra 17 hours a year would free up 20 minutes a week to spend time doing whatever you want. Now, 20 minutes doesn’t seem like a lot, but there’s plenty you could do in that time, for example:

  • Exercise
  • Read a chapter of a book
  • Try a new dinner recipe
  • Start a blog

And there’s plenty more you could do with an extra 17 hours, like spend it with family, or pick up some extra work. The opportunities are endless. So, if any of this sounds good to you, what are you waiting for? Download the Kerb app now.
