Information the KERB platform collects and receives
The KERB platform collects different types of information. Some of this information is personally identifiable and some is non-identifying or aggregated. Here are the types of information the KERB platform collects or receives:
- Information about your parking site(s). When an organization or individual lists a parking site on the KERB platform, we retain the information related to the parking site. This may include, but is not limited to, textual descriptions, photos and location details.
- Information about your vehicle(s). At some parking sites, the KERB platform uses automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) cameras to register your vehicle’s arrival at – or departure from – a parking site. Specifically, this license plate information is stored on a secure Internet server, or may be stored temporarily on an ALPR camera’s whitelist in order to open a parking site’s boom barrier.
- Account and profile information. At some parking sites listed on the KERB platform, you will not be required to submit any personally identifiable information (‘PII’) in order to use KERB. However, at certain parking sites, if stipulated by the parking site owner(s), you may be required to register a KERB account via the KERB platform. In such cases, the minimum information that we require of you includes your name, email address and mobile phone number. At certain parking sites, the parking site owner may stipulate that you provide additional information. This information might include, but is not limited to: vehicle license plate, driver’s licence, or vehicle insurance documentation.
- Billing information and bank account details. If you list a parking site on the KERB platform, you will need to submit your bank account details so that we can transfer back to you any parking revenue collected through the KERB platform, minus any agreed fees. These bank account details are stored on a third party payments platform, such as Stripe or Fiuu. If you use the KERB platform to pay for parking, we will require you to provide your credit card details or eWallet details. These details will be securely stored on the relevant payment platform, such as Stripe or Fiuu. The KERB platform does not hold any credit card or eWallet details associated with any of its users.
- Log data. When you use the KERB platform, our servers automatically record information, including information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website or your mobile app sends when you’re using it. This log data may include your Internet Protocol address, the address of the web page you visited before coming to the KERB platform, your browser type and settings, the date and time of your request, information about your browser configuration and plug-ins, language preferences, and cookie data. Log data does not contain message content and is not routinely deleted.
- Device information. In addition to log data, the KERB platform may also collect information about the device you’re using. This log data might including the type of device, what operating system you’re using, device settings, unique device identifiers, and crash data. Whether we collect some or all of this information will be dictated by type of device you’re using and the device’s settings.
- Geo-location information. In order for the KERB platform to function properly, KERB automatically detects the GPS location of any mobile device accessing its platform. In addition, WiFi and IP addresses received from your browser or device may be used to determine approximate location.
- Usage information. We collect information about how you interact with the KERB platform. Examples include, but are not limited to: frequency of use, session duration, and usage associated with specific days of the week.
- Communication content that you send and receive within the KERB platform. This information includes:
- The message content itself. This content can include messages, pictures, files and video among other types of files.
- When messages or files were sent and by whom, when or if they were seen by you, and where you received them (in a channel or direct message, for example).
- Information from partners or other 3rd parties. The KERB platform may receive information from partners or others that we could use to make our own information better or more useful. This might be aggregate level information about which IP addresses go with which zip codes or it might be more specific information about how well an online marketing or email campaign performed.
Cookie Policy
The KERB platform uses cookies, or similar technologies like single-pixel gifs and web beacons, to record log data. We use both session-based and persistent cookies.
Cookies are small text files sent by us to your computer and from your computer to us, each time you visit our website. They are unique to your The KERB platform account or your browser. Some cookies are associated with your KERB account and personal information in order to remember that you are logged in and which parts of the KERB platform you are logged into. Other cookies are not tied to your KERB account but are unique and allow us to do site analytics and customization, among other similar things. If you access KERB through your browser, you can manage your cookie settings there but if you disable all cookies you may not be able to use the KERB platform.
The Company sets and accesses its own cookies on its various domains. In addition, we use 3rd parties like Google Analytics for website analytics.

These messages are considered part of the service and you may not opt-out of them. In addition, we may send you certain marketing-related messages, from which you can opt out at any time.
Sharing and Disclosure of your Information
There are times when communications and related content and other user information may be shared by the Company. This section discusses only how the Company may share user information. The Company may share information:
- With consent, to comply with legal process, or to protect the Company and users of the KERB platform. When we have your consent or if we believe that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal request; to protect the safety, rights, or property of the public, any person, or the Company; or to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues. If we receive a law enforcement or other third party request for information, we will provide prior notice to the subject of the request, where we are legally permitted to do so.
- With third party service providers and agents. We may employ third party companies or individuals to process personal information on our behalf based on our instructions and in compliance with this Privacy Policy. For example, we may share data with a security consultant to help us get better at preventing unauthorized access or with an email vendor to send messages on our behalf. We may also share data with hosting providers, payment processors, marketing vendors, and other consultants who work on our behalf.
